The Book Award program is a longstanding tradition of the Rhode Island College Alumni Association. Last year we presented awards to 50 incoming freshmen representing 43 area high schools.
This year’s Book Award will be the book selected as part of the Open Books, Open Minds required reading program for incoming freshmen during 2023-2024. In addition, recipients will receive an award certificate as well as a $50 gift card to the RIC Barnes and Noble Bookstore.
2023 Book Award Program Criteria
• Presented to a high school senior who plans on attending Rhode Island College.
• Student must have demonstrated scholarship and leadership.
• Student must have the recommendation of the high school guidance department.
• Award is presented at senior day/night awards program.
